D-meson production in an AdS/CFT inspired model at the LHeC
Abstract
By means of an AdS/CFT inspired model given by Kovchegov Lu and Rezaeian, the D-meson production in e + p (A) collisions at Large Hadron-electron Collider (LHeC) energies is investigated in the color-dipole formalism. The theoretical results indicate that the x-independence phenomena at very small x and Q2, which are predicted by the AdS/CFT inspired model, can be tested by the charmed quark meson production in e + p scattering at LHeC energies. Comparing with the results of the models motivated by pQCD, we also find that the theoretical results predicted by the AdS/CFT inspired model are much larger than those of the GBW and b-CGC models but smaller than that of the KT model at LHeC energies.
