Turbulence and flow structures in magnetic reconnection
Abstract
Magnetic reconnection is viewed from the interaction between the large-scale inhomogeneous structure and turbulence. On the one hand, turbulence determines large-scale structures through the turbulent transport coefficients. On the other hand, large-scale inhomogeneous structure determines the statistical properties of turbulence through the production rates of turbulent quantities. In the context of magnetic reconnection, this mutual interaction between the large-scale structures and turbulence is modeled with special emphasis on the pseudo-scalar effects, which represents some symmetry breakage in turbulence. In addition to the magnetic reconnection, magnetic-flux freezing in turbulence media, turbulent dynamo, transport suppression are also discussed.
