A simulation study on the JEM-EUSO performances with ESAF
Abstract
We present here end to end simulation studies on the scientific performances of the JEM-EUSO mission obtained with the EUSO Simulation and Analysis Framework (ESAF). After briefly summarizing the key aspects of the ESAF software, we show results on the trigger efficiency and reconstruction capability of the mission. More specifically, the JEM-EUSO angular, energy and Xmax resolution for charged particle detection is discussed as well as the background rejection performances.
