Long Term Memory of Ocean Diffusion Process in West Coast of India
Abstract
Time series data of current velocities in the Gulf of Kachchh, the west coast of India, were analyzed for quantifying parameters governing coastal water process. Statistical analysis, spectral analysis, and rescaled range analysis were conducted. The velocity diffusion process consists of white noise process and colored noise process. Hurst exponent of time series varies depending on measurement directions implying multi scaling behavior in the coastal water process.
