Underground Cryogenic Laser Interferometer CLIO
Abstract
The displacement sensitivity of Cryogenic Laser Interferometer Observatory (CLIO) has been comparable with suspension thermal noise for the frequency range from 20Hz to 80Hz, and sapphire mirror thermo-elastic noise for the frequency range from 80Hz to 200Hz. The best displacement sensitivity is 3 × 10-19 [m/] around 250Hz. In order to verify displacement sensitivity enhancement by cooling suspension wires and sapphire mirrors, we have started modifying mirror suspension systems.
