A probabilistic approach to some results by Nieto and Truax
Abstract
It is shown that the usual operational methods applied to characterize the properties of Gould and Hopper polynomials, as well as the properties of quantum higher-order and squeezed states, can be replaced by a probabilistic approach using stable distributions.
