Testing Radio-loud vs. Radio-quiet AGN Unification
Abstract
We propose EPIC observations of four Broad-Line Radio Galaxies previously studied by us with ASCA. The immediate goals of the observations are to 1) confirm (3C303) and search for (PKS2251+11, 3C215, 3C411) the FeKalpha emission line and study its profile; and 2) constrain absorption at soft energies. On the longer term, these observations will expand the current number of radio-loud AGN with high-quality X-ray spectra and allow a systematic comparison to Seyferts, testing in a meaningful way specific models for the radio-quiet/radio-loud AGN distribution.
