Optical CNOT gates with Quantum Interrogation
Abstract
We present three families of optical CNOT gates where the photon interaction is mediated by ancillary particle qubits. The gates are based on a matter to light CZ gate, in which the possibility of a particle absorbing a photon is enough for the coupling. The employed quantum interrogation scheme allows to have a negligible probability of an actual absorption taking place.
