Periods of Pulsating Subdwarf B Stars
Abstract
We present light curves and periods of four subdwarf B variable stars. These helium burning stars, with temperatures of 22,000 - 40,000K, come in two classes, those with short periods (around 200 seconds) and those with long periods (around 2 hours). We measured the periods and amplitudes of pulsations for 3 short period variables, PG 1219+534, PG 1605+072, and KPD 2109+4401 as well as producing a light curve for one longer period variable, PG 1627+017. The data were taken on the 31” telescope at Lowell Observatory.
