Relation Between Design Specification and Student‧s Products in Trial and Error Engineering Experiments Based on Design of Blade for Wind Turbine
Abstract
In recent years, a method of enhancing the problem-solving abilities of students has been explored in many universities and colleges of Technology. The trial and error engineering experiments were introduced to the department of electrical engineering in Kushiro national college of technology in 2005. In the experiments, it is necessary to continuously improve the experimental contents in order to cultivate understanding of engineering. And at the end of the experiments, we have analyzed the relation between design specifications and student‧s products and the results of the questionnaire of the experiments. As a result of their analysis, we found that the experiments supported voluntary learning, problem-solving approach by the trial and error and the sufficient motivation for learning of engineering. This paper describes the contents of the trial and error experiments and these effects in the last three years.
