Supernova 2008T in UGC 3304
Abstract
Further to CBET 1215, D. Winslow, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko, University of California at Berkeley, report the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Jan. 17.30 (at mag 18.2) and Feb. 6.24 UT (mag 18.6). SN 2008T is located at R.A. = 5h25m28s.96, Decl. = +21o51'33".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 4".6 west and 11".3 north of the nucleus of UGC 3304. A KAIT image taken on 2007 Dec. 15.36 showed nothing at this location (limiting mag 19.3).
