Tunneling spectroscopy of AlB 2 type silicide superconductor CaAlSi
Abstract
Tunneling spectroscopy measurements of CaAlSi have been carried out using a break junction technique. The spectra exhibit the sharp gap structures with the gap parameter of Δ(4.2 K)≈1.1-1.3 meV. The Tc is determined to be 6-7.5 K from the temperature variations of the gap structure. The extrapolated Δ(0 K) by the BCS curve leads to the strong coupling ratio 2 Δ(0 K)/ kBTc=4.2-4.5.
