Note on the nonexistence of σ-model solitons in the 2+1 dimensional AdS gravity
Abstract
We show that the gravitating static soliton in the 2+1 dimensional O(3) σ model does not exist in the presence of a negative cosmological constant, contrary to the claim made by Kim and Moon in [Phys. Rev. D 58, 105013 (1998)., PRVDAQ, 0556-2821, 10.1103/PhysRevD.58.105013].
