Electronic pressure effects on the magneto-rotational instability in accretion disks
Abstract
We study the local instability of a weakly magnetized accretion disk, including kinetic effects and extending previous works. In particular, we quantitatively assess the relevance of the electronic pressure gradient on the instability rate. We investigate the regions of instability in Fourier space and find the stability conditions for the various relevant parameters.
