IGR J01583+6713, a new hard X-ray transient discovered by INTEGRAL
Abstract
A new hard X-ray transient has been discovered by the IBIS/ISGRI imager on board INTEGRAL during an open-program observation of the Cas A region on 2005 Dec. 6-7. The new source was observed at RA=29.57, DEC=+67.22 deg with an uncertainty of 2 arcmin. Although it is not detected in individual Science Windows, the source is clearly seen in the 130 ksec mosaic image of the observation, with a mean flux of about 14 mCrab and a detection significance of 13 sigma in the 20-40 keV band.
