Structural Study of Abell 3571: An XMM-Newton view
Abstract
A nonuniform temperature and abundance distribution in A3571 is investigated in the central region. Based on our previous analysis of ASCA data, the cluster was suggested to experience a relatively large scale group infall. By the advantage of XMM-Newton's high angular resolution, we are able to investigate dynamical structures down to 100 kpc scale. Several cool and hot patchy regions are located within the angular extend of 8 arcmin center. A significant temperature difference among patchy clumps is 2 keV in the ambient ICM of which average temperature is 7.3 keV. Referring the abundance map of the same region, we observed a variation of metalicity 0.31-0.57 solar value, while the average value is 0.40 solar. Considering the temperature, metalicity and galaxy distributions and possible contributions from the point sources around the cluster, we discuss dynamical structure of the ICM.
