Photometry and Spectroscopy of TNOs with the Subaru Telescope
Abstract
The Trans Neptunian Objects (TNOs) are the most primitive objects in the solar system. We present photometry and spectroscopy of TNOs in the near- infrared wavelengths obtained by the Subaru Telescope. Our purpose is to understand the formation of the early solar system, and consequently, to propose the suitable target for future TNOs exploration. We carried out the JH photometry and H-band spectroscopy of 1995 SM55 and the JHK photometry of 1997 CS29. Our near infrared photometry and spectroscopy obtained at Subaru Telescope would extend our knowledge of the color diversity in TNOs and help us to speculate surface materials of TNOs. With those results, we would like to make a comment on the searching for the TNO"s explorations.
