The Concurrent Development Environment (CODE) as a Support to the Space System Development Process

Looking forward improvements in the managerial and technical design process, in order to enhance performance thus reducing time and cost, Alenia Spazio in collaboration with Politecnico di Torino has decided to investigate new design concepts and methodologies creating a Modeling environment, named "COncurrent Development Environment" (CODE). This environment allows integration of distributed multidisciplinary models, upgradable to the necessary detail depth during the different phases of the project life cycle (from preliminary design to verification and operative phases), keeping the system level coherence while the design activity spreads among the involved disciplines.
