RF-SET Measurements of a Cooper Pair Box
Abstract
One of the proposals for a qubit in a Quantum Computer is the charge states of a Cooper pair box (CPB). We are pursuing single-shot measurements of the charge states of a CPB using a radio-frequency single-electron transistor (RF-SET). The measurements are performed by coupling the box to an RF-SET which operates at a resonant frequency of 1.5 GHz with a charge sensitivity of approximately 10-5e/√Hz. We report on the progress towards measurements of the spectroscopic states of the box and observations of Rabi oscillations.
