Electronic structures of Na_xCoO2 studied by ARPES
Abstract
Electronic structures of single crystals Na_xCoO_2, which become superconducting at x≃ 0.3 with water intercalation, are studied by angle-resolved photonelectron spectroscopy. We clearly observe band dispersion and Fermi surface, which are consistent with the prediction of a local density band theory. However, some unusual spectral features are also observed, such as an extended flat band and a band splitting along certain direction.
