Supernovae 2003fe, 2003ff, 2003fg, 2003fh, 2003fi, 2003fj, 2003fk
Abstract
P. Astier, Laboratoire de Physique Nucleaire et de Hautes Energies, Universite Paris VI; and C. Pritchet, University of Victoria; on behalf of the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) Legacy Survey Supernova Project (including E. Aubourg, D. Balam, R. Carlberg, D. Hardin, D. Guide, S. Fabbro, H. Lafoux, T. Merrall, R. Pain, K. Perrett, J. Rich, K. Schahmaneche, P. Antilogus, E. Lesquoy, and G. Sainton), report the discovery of several apparent supernovae found on CCD images taken with the newly commissioned MegaPrime instrument during the CFHT Legacy Survey engineering pre-survey. The tabulated magnitudes below are in the i' band. None of the new objects were present in reference images (limiting mag about 24.5; S/N = 5 for 2" aperture) taken on 2003 Mar. 3 (SNe 2003fe, 2003ff, 2003fg, 2003fh) and 23 (SNe 2003fi, 2003fj, 2003fk).
