Re-Examination of Oxide-Ion Conductivity of 7Bi2O3·2WO3
Abstract
The phase, 7Bi2O3·2WO3 (22.22 mol% WO3) has been known as a good oxide-ion conductor. However, nobody pays attention to this material despite of its high potential. The present study has re-examined the electrical conductivity, transference number, thermal stability, and oxygen separation from air. As a result, it has turned out that 7Bi2O3·2WO3 is the promising material for electrochemical devices, especially for oxygen pumps.
