The MAXI Experiment
Abstract
MAXI (Monitor of All-Sky X-Ray Image) is an X-ray all-sky monitor mission which will be deployed on JEM (the Japanese Experiment Module) of ISS (the International Space Station) in 2004. It is designed to monitor X-ray sources by scanning the entire sky every 90 minutes, and one can expect ~5 GRBs and ~25 afterglows to be detected per year.
