Cosmological Parameters:. the Large Scale Structure Contribution

Reaserch on the cosmic microwave background recently received a great impulse thanks to the abundance of data that have been released in the past few years. CMB power spectrum experiments up to 1999, once considered all together, already clearly indicated the presence of a peak around l ≃ 200 [1], suggesting a flat Universe [2]. Last year results from BOOMERANG and MAXIMA confirmed this general picture and really improved previous results on smaller scales (see fig 1), allowing for interpretation of more precise scenarios for structure formation [3]...
