Inhomogeneous Cosmological Model in Higher Dimensional Spacetime
Abstract
An exact cosmological model is obtained in a 6D inhomogeneous spacetime assuming an equation of state. Einstein's field equations dictate that while the 3D space expands exponentially the extra dimensions shrink with time. Moreover, our model seems to suggest an alternative mechanism pionting to a smooth transition from a primordial multidimensional, inhomogeneous phase to a homogeneous 4D one.
