New Element Production on/in Deuterated and Hydrated Palladium Electrodes by DC Glow Discharge
Abstract
Elements and their isotopic distributions on/in the palladium cathodes before and after the DC glow discharge experiment were investigated by time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS). By analyzing the obtained results, it was found that Be, Li and Ni for the deuterium-palladium (D-Pd) system, and Li, Ni and Ba for the hydrogen-palladium (H-Pd) system, were present on/in the Pd cathodes after the glow discharge experiments.
