A polynomial axles-detection algorithm for a four-contacts treadle
Abstract
This paper is the first attempt of solving the axle detection problem with a formal approach. In particular a polynomial algorithm will be developed for a four-contacts treadle used in the trasportation industry. As first step the simpler problem of detecting an axle on a two-contacts treadle is solved. Hence the solution is extended to the four-contracts treadle.
