One-dimensional potential scattering of electrons in a bichromatic laser field
Abstract
We consider by numerically integrating the time-dependent Schrödinger equation the scattering of electrons by a one-dimensional potential well in the presence of a bichromatic laser field of frequencies ω and 2ω or ω and 3ω and we investigate the transmitted and reflected scattering probabilities as a function of the relative phase ϕ between the two radiation field components. We also compare the results of this analysis with the probabilities obtained in earlier work in which the scattering problem was treated analytically, receiving in this way a deeper insight into this process.
