DIRAC-FOCK Transition Energies and Radiative and Radiationless Transition Probabilities for ar 9+ to ar 16+ Ion Levels with K-Shell Holes
Abstract
Transition energies and radiative and radiationless transition rates for argon ions Ar9+ to Ar16+ have been calculated in the Dirac-Fock approximation, including quantum-electrodynamic corrections, for deexcitation to the ground configuration of all levels in the 1s 2s2 2pn (n=0,…,6), 1s 2s 2pn (n=1,…,6), and 1s 2p configurations. These data are of interest in the interpretation of x-ray spectra originating from plasmas in tokamaks, ion sources, and ion traps and from astrophysical plasmas.
