Yugoslavian Leonid Expedition to Mongolia
Abstract
This year, the whole world or at least the ones that are sky lovers and watchers, was expecting a big meteor show from the Leonids. As is widely known, the Leonids are a meteor shower formed by the fragments of Comet Tempel-Tuttle, that passes through our Solar System approximately every 33 years. As the previous meteor storm was observed in 1966, the year 1998 was supposed to be the one, for which the big "comeback of the Leonids" would occur.
