The extended gaseous and dark components of M33
Abstract
High sensitivity observations of the extended HI disk of M33 have given us a clue on many distinct properties of this nearby galaxy, such as the radial sharp cutoff of the HI surface density due to the UV ionizing flux, the warp of the outer disk, the rotation curve and the dark matter distribution out to 13 disk scalelengths. Results of recent observations of the molecular gas in this galaxy will also be briefly summarized.
