Probing superconductivity in Sr 2RuO 4 by point-contact spectroscopy
Abstract
We present calculations of the surface conductance and compare results with point-contact spectroscopy experiments for current injection in the ab-plane. Two distinctly different types of d V/d I versus V spectra are observed: (i) a typical double-minimum structure which is seen in many superconductors, and (ii) a single-minimum structure centered at zero bias. These results can be consistently explained with a metallic point contact realized in (i) and with a tunneling contact in (ii).
