The Forced Oscillator Method and the Kubo Formula
Abstract
The forced oscillator method (FOM) is particularly suitable to treat very large matrices by using advanced modern supercomputers. This method enables us to calculate in an efficient way spectral densities of states, eigenvalues, and their eigenvectors of both Hermitian and non-Hermitian matrices. In addition, linear response functions of the systems described by these matrices can be efficiently computed by the FOM.
