La componente molecular de una cáscara de HI asociada a HD 192163
Abstract
The analysis of the interstellar medium in the vicinity of the WR ring nebula NGC 6888, related to HD 192163, allowed us to identify two concentric HI shells: the inner shell is about 11.8×6.3 pc and surrounds the northern, eastern and southern parts of the optical nebula; the outer shell is 28 pc in diameter. These features were probably originated in the action of the stellar winds of the current WR star and its massive progenitor star on the environs (Cappa et al. 1996, AJ, 112, 1104). With the aim of investigating the distribution of the molecular material in the outer shell, we carried out observations of the 12CO(1-0) and 13CO(1-0) lines using the 12m telescope of the NRAO in Kitt Peak, Arizona. This study allowed us to detect the molecular counterpart of the outer HI shell and estimate its main physical parameters.
