Science at the ISAC Facility
Abstract
A large variety of experiments will be possible at the new ISAC facility. Radioactive ions will be produced by the TRIUMF cyclotron proton beam; these ions can be mass separated and used immediately or accelerated. Some experiments have already started in the low energy area. When the accelerator facility is complete, reactions of interest in astrophysics and nuclear physics will be studied. Further experiments can be completed if the Phase II accelerator to 5 MeV/u is built.
