Spectroscopic and two-photon upconversion studies of Ho 3+-doped Lu 3Al 5O 12
Abstract
A detailed spectroscopic investigation of Lu 3Al 5O 12 doped with Ho 3+ has been performed. Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters are estimated as Ω2=0.172±0.10×10 -20 cm 2, Ω4=2.08±0.18×10 -20 cm 2, and Ω6=1.92±0.11×10 -20 cm 2. Transition probabilities and lifetimes were also estimated. Experimentally, we found that Ho 3+ ion occupies more than one type of site in the lattice. Energy upconversion studies were performed under different laser excitation conditions.
