Elastic vectormeson production at HERA
Abstract
We show that the lowestorder QCD calculation in a simple model of elastic vectormeson production does reproduce correctly the ratios of cross sections for ρ, φ and J/ψ, both in photoproduction and in highQ^{2} quasielastic scattering. The dependence of the slopes on the mass of the vector meson is reproduced as well. We examine the lowerenergy data, and find that the energy dependence of the cross section does not depend on Q^{2}, but may depend onm_{V} .
