Charmonium splittings from QCD sum rules
Abstract
We use QCD sum rules, together with two different numerical algorithms, for predicting masses of first excited states and, as a byproduct, partial decay widths of ground states in various channels of Charmonium. In particular we apply the method to the 1S0 channel and to the 1P1 channel. Our predictions on first excited states ( m = 3575 -48+30MeV, m = 4355 -26+37MeV) and on partial decay widths ( Γ→2γ = 5585 -635+490eV, Γ→3g = 515-803 keV) are consistent with present (poor) data and agree with most predictions done by other methods.
