A high-resolution multiwire proportional counter for speckle spectroscopy with coherent X-rays
Abstract
We have built a 20 × 20 mm 2 high-resolution (60 μm FWHM) two-dimensional multiwire proportional counter for X-ray speckle spectroscopy. The detector works with a 10 bar {Ar}/{C2H6} ( {80}/{20}) mixture. The position is determined by the delay line method ( TD = 1 μs) and has a time resolution in the microsecond range.
