Optoelectronic and television systems for observing low-contrast astronomical objects
Abstract
Formulas have been obtained that relate the gain of the optical system of an astronomical television camera and the limiting SNR in optoelectronic and television systems for observing low-contrast objects on a bright background. Electronic-engineering and optical interpretations of the resulting dependences are given.
