Time dependence of density of molten potassium lithium niobate
Abstract
Density of molten potassium lithium niobate (KLN) was studied using an improved Archimedean method. It was found that the density of the molten KLN depended on time remarkably. The density of the KLN increases with time after melting and then tends to a steady value. The time for the density becoming a steady value depends on temperature, i.e., the temperature is lower, the time is longer for the density becoming a steady value. The time dependence of the density also changed with changing composition of the molten KLN.
