Shocked molecular hydrogen in NGC 7129
Abstract
We present optical and near-infrared images of the NGC 7129 star-forming region. Included are optical and H_2 images of HH 167 (the LkH alpha234 jet) and HH 103. The images of the latter object clearly show interesting excitation gradients which indicate a shocked cloudlet origin. Also included are images of a possible photodissociation region (PDR), as indicated by its H_2 {2--1}/ {1--0 S(1)} ratio.
