Lee-Yang Zeros of the 3-State Potts Model
Abstract
The microcanonical transfer matrix is used to calculate the exact density of states for the 3-state Potts model on finite square lattices. The zeros of the partition function in the complex temperature plane are then calculated. Results are presented for the locus of zeros and the density of zeros near the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic critical points. In addition, the ground state entropy for the AF case is calculated and compared with the exact result.
