Bose Glass Vortex Phase Transition In Twinned YBa_2Cu_3O7 Superconductors
Abstract
We demonstrate that twin boundaries, a common source of c-axis-correlated pinning in high temperature superconductors, naturally induce a Bose-glass vortex phase transition in the magnetic phase diagram of heavily twinned YBa_2Cu_3O7 thick films. We will present measurements of the critical exponents and the angular dependence of the Bose-glass transition temperature. We will compare these results with those obtained in samples containing columnar defects introduced by irradiation with swift heavy ions.
