An Exact Solution to the Plane Orthotropic Elasticity Problem with Rectangular Boundaries under Arbitrary Edge Forces
Abstract
Mathieu's approach to the fundamental problem of plane strain with rectangular boundaries was further developed by Baker, Pavlovic and Tahan. The method consists in breaking up the full solution into eight basic problem types. In this paper, an exact solution to two-dimensional orthotropic elasticity problems with rectangular contours is obtained. Some convergent results are proved.
