Magnetization anomaly and mixed state phase diagram of κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2
Abstract
Local magnetization measurements using micro Hall probes were carried out on a quasi two-dimensional organic superconductor κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2. Peak structures in the local magnetization hysteresis loops were found at around 50 G. We ascribe this anomaly to the field-induced decomposition of vortex lines into pancake vortices, which is found in a high temperature superconductor Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y. Mixed state phase diagram in κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2 is compared with that in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y.
