Revivals of Ionization during Atomic Stabilization
Abstract
Numerical solutions of the time dependent Schrödinger equation show evidence of revivals of ionization for atoms in super strong laser pulses. Such revivals are superimposed on the overall trend of atomic stabilization predicted earlier. The appearance of the revivals can be interpreted as the interference of the ionizing waves resulted from various parts of the atom. The pulse shape effect is discussed.
