Operational experience with CDF silicon microvertex detectors
Abstract
Silicon microstrip detectors have been used very successfully to study long-lived particles produced in p overlinep collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron. Two such detectors were constructed and operated at the CDF experiment during the last two collider runs. The design, performance and operation of the detectors are described.
