A field method for 3D tetrahedral mesh generation and adaption
Abstract
A field method to generate 3D tetrahedral meshes is presented. After the initial triangulation between given boundaries a set of tools is employed to generate a suitable mesh for a first computation. The same algorithm is used for mesh adaptation as well. The adaptation can be seen as a continued mesh generation while additional information is available. This information is introduced via virtual stretching.
