Quasars: Statistics in conflict with the present-day concepts. Simulation of selection effects
Abstract
The results of computer simulation of selection effects in spectroscopic observations of quasars are present. It is shown that selection effects cannot explain the phenomenon we discovered earlier. This phenomenon is that quasars with absorption lines have significantly higher mean luminosities than quasars without absorption lines.
